WHO WE ARE

LONG ISLAND SCHOLARS is an educational nonprofit [501(c)(3)] which helps young people prepare for and access educational opportunities—whatever their circumstances.

We support motivated public high school students from low-income families in Nassau and Suffolk Counties in college and career readiness, access, and success. We provide free, individualized consulting, helping students develop their academic skills and discover extracurricular activities in their areas of interest. We also mentor them through application processes for competitions, summer programs, college admissions, scholarships, and the like.

Our programs, valued at $10,000 per student, are free to eligible students who meet our income and GPA requirements. Qualified sophomores, juniors, and seniors may apply; email us at info@longislandscholars.org to find out more.
