PROJECTS

Long Island Scholars supports students through individualized educational consulting (by application) as well as through special programs: 

​

  • Project Beacon, a peer mentoring program (launching January 2021)

  • Scienceholic, a digital STEM magazine by and for teens

  • TED-Ed Club, where students develop and deliver TED Talks on topics of their choosing (course launch: January 2021; inaugural TED-Ed Club Conference: July 2021)

​

Long Island Scholars has applied to become a certifying organization for the President's Volunteer Service Award towards recognizing the contributions of our volunteers.

LONG ISLAND SCHOLARS is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit in Glen Cove, NY, dedicated to leveling the college and career access playing fields for motivated, under-resourced public high school students on Long Island. LONG ISLAND SCHOLARS is a member of the Glen Cove, NY Chamber of Commerce.
